Yamaha Pianos have come a long way since the 1900s when they were first manufactured. It is one of the most established piano brands in Singapore.
Yamaha pianos are precise, reliable and perform well. Among technicians, these pianos are reputed to be the easiest to service due to the consistently high quality.
Among teachers, Yamaha high end uprights and Japan-made grands are known for their good tone and very good reliability.
Yamaha pianos command one of the highest used piano rates in Singapore due to their excellent reputation among technicians and teachers and their popularity among students.
Yamaha pianos of the same model are very consistent in quality. Yamahas hardly have manufacturing faults that require extra service and expenditure unless they were not well taken care of.
I use a Yamaha C2 grand in my studio and I am very pleased with it. It has a beautiful tone and has been problem free except for a keyboard issue I had a few years ago which was during the warranty period. The top layer of the keyboard flapped up when lifted and I let Yamaha know about it.
The after-sales service at Yamaha in Singapore was excellent. They sent a technician to replace the keyboard free of charge saying that they had identified and rectified this issue in their manufacturing. I have had no problems with my keyboard since.
